The holiday season is really a time for giving. This year each McDonald’s Ajax restaurant “adopted” a local Ajax family, facilitated by the Salvation Army. Each family provided a Christmas wish list and we worked to collect donations from our generous staff – including management and crew. Each restaurant was able to raise over $400 and were topped up by Bradley, the McDonald’s Ajax owner, to $500. We then used the donated money to buy all of the gifts on the families’ wish list, and grocery store gift cards for each family.
A special thank you to our amazing co-ordinators for making this Christmas so much brighter for these families: Holly for Bayly, Zoe for Westney, Neely and Carol for Heritage/Walmart.
We are so lucky to have such giving crew who came together to help ensure these families will have a very happy Christmas this year!
With the help of our amazing guests, we were able to donate two boxes of toys and gifts from the donation boxes in the McDonald’s dining rooms. The boxes were donated to Kennedy House Youth Services – an organization that works with youth to enable them to grow as individuals to contribute as members of the community. This is achieved in our residential and community based programs by providing customized support and building trusting relationships.
Thank you to all our staff and guests that supported these amazing initiatives.
